1. Remove the bolt and nut holding the blade,and then the blade. These parts will not be needed.
2. Use a hacksaw to cut off the ‘notched ear' on the Pro-Wheel Shaver (see Figure 1). Use a file to remove any sharp edges created by the cut.
3. Continue with Step 1 under "All Shavers".

Pro-Wheel Shaver II Only

1. Remove the bolt and nut holding the blade,then the blade and blade holding shoe. The blade can be saved as a spare,but the remaining parts are not needed.
2. Continue with Step 1 under "All Shavers".

All Shavers

1. On the upgrade unit use the blade adjustment knob to raise the blade as far as possible.
2. Loosen the bolt on the upgrade unit until the nut comes off. Then continue loosening the bolt until it is barely threaded into the bracket.
3. Set the upgrade unit on a table with the screw upwards,and verify that the blade is in position. The slot on the blade must engage the head of the adjusting apparatus,and the beveled portion of the cutting edge must be facing upwards.
4. With the blade edge facing towards you,from the left side slide the Pro-Wheel Shaver into the upgrade unit so that the ‘ear' of the tool is between the blade and bracket of the upgrade unit and the hole in the tool is in line with the bolt on the upgrade unit (see Figure 2).
5. Tighten the bolt,and engage the nut. Tighten firmly,and then loosen the bolt one-half turn. Do not over tighten.
